Information on how we handle COVID-19 tests


General information:

Informative links about the COVID test request.

Please fill out the trial request link and submit it. The system will guide you with the departure date that you indicate to review the available spaces and that you can choose the day and time for your sample collection.

Spaces are limited per day and depend on the laboratory's ability to take and solve tests.

You can make your appointment from 15 days before your flight ✈️. It's not possible too far in advance, but don't expect to be too close either. It is recommended at least and if you can hopefully a week before the flight ✈️.

If you do not find available spaces according to your departure date, you should be checking because sometimes they cancel an appointment and spaces are freed.

If you can't find any space at all, the only option is to show up early to the lab and stand in line for walk-in. We will try to help you do your test. With patience you may have a good chance of succeeding.

According to CDC official website Before boarding a flight to the United States all travelers are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day Before travel.

What is the anti SARS-COV-2 PCR?

It is a molecular diagnostic test to determine the presence of the virus SARS-COV-2.

What do we do?

We take the NASOPHARYNGEAL sample and analyze it, according to the client's request, either the PCR test or the rapid antigen test. Both use nasopharyngeal samples

What is the price?

The PCR test has a cost with us of $125 and the antigen test of $65.

How long do the results take?

For the rapid antigen test the results would be available the same day about 3-4 hrs after taking sample.

In the case of the PCR test, the results are offered in range 8 to 36 hrs depending day you take sample. We run PCR only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with expect results same day afternoon about 4 pm. But for example if you take sample on Monday needs wait for your results next day 4 pm. Same happens with Wednesday and Friday. This condition only apply to PCR TEST.

How are the results received?

They are usually sent by email to the address provided by the customer. It is really important introduce correctly by this reason.

At the moment, both tests require an appointment (mainly the PCR test) although in the case of the rapid test, it could be handled without an appointment in case of emergency.

However, we recommend managing your appointment through the test request link for a more orderly and expedited attention.

Closed on Sundays.

How long is it valid?

In most countries, including the USA, it expires in 72 hours, so it should be done as close to the flight as possible, taking into account the time it takes for the result to be ready. For Panama I understand it is valid only 48 hours.

WE ONLY TAKE SAMPLES IN THE MORNING FROM 7 AM to 12 pm.

Exceptional services could be ordered but only with previous according with the lab.
